Expert Tip. Since the 1870s, Speakers' Corner, in the north-east corner of Hyde Park, has been a London institution. Every Saturday and Sunday, those with a grievance or a cause climb upon their various soapboxes to rally public support. Karl Marx, George Orwell, and William Morris all exercised their right to free speech here.
