Getting there.
The easiest way to reach Alberobello is by train. At Bari Centrale Station which is served by Trenitalia, look for signs to Ferrovie Sud- Est, located within the same station. This connects with Alberobello train station, 500 metres from the hotel. There are 15 daily connections (some direct, some via Putignano) from Monday-Saturday and much fewer trains on Sunday. Be sure to stamp your ticket in the machines before boarding. Note that the regional train to Alberobello is not run by Trenitalia, and thus, rail passes are not accepted. Taxis are available outside the Arrivals Hall.
Getting around.
Alberobello's attractions are all within walking distance.
Driving directions. Take the highway A14 to Taranto. Exit to Gioia of the Colle and follow the signs for Alberobello (Strada Provinciale 239). On reaching Gioia of the Colle and Noci, near Alberobello turn right on via Sette liberatori della Selva. Continue ahead for 800 meters to reach Grand Hotel Olimpo.
