Sir Sam's Inn & WaterSpa - an Ontario's Finest Inn was once the estate of Sir Samuel Hughes, the government minister who led Canada's military during WWI. This stone-and-timber mansion is constructed along Eagle Lake's scenic shoreline. New menus are introduced each evening at Twin Fires restaurant, and include appetizers such as pan-seared sea scallops with mango-chardonnay butter sauce, and entrées that include gilled tournedos of Yukon Caribou with Pinot Noir and Wild Blueberry Jus. Gunner's Pub offers billiards and darts. A wing of this hotel is dedicated to function space with a capacity of up to 50 people. This resort offers all-season recreation with a lakeside location and adjacent ski slopes. Leisure pursuits include kayaking, waterskiing, pedal boats, cruises, snowmobile tours and snow skiing. The resort provides use of an outdoor pool and tennis courts. The WaterSpa specializes in body-temperature saline water treatments with underwater music and lights. Body care treatments include hot-stone therapy, reflexology, aromatherapy, and signature sugar-plum masks or cocoa-and-ginseng body wraps.
